  • Quality reading from my grandmother… he cites a lot of Soviet experiments for ways to stay healthier, some of which are pretty hair raising. Dig the desk exercise illustrations.

  • Apple pancake is a riff on a Dutch Baby where I roast the apples in butter with cinnamon for a bit before dumping the batter in the hot pan to finish. And yes, I serve it with ice cream on it. Kid took a practice AP test yesterday and it is her favorite.

  • Spring is here full force, replete with mercurial weather but I got in a great walk today before work

  • Ed is pleased I have returned to him

  • Arriving home a mere 23 hours after we started off in Lisbon. Long delay in Dublin and SO grateful to be home.

  • And thus begins the long, long day of travel from Lisbon to Seattle

  • I am meeting so many lovely humans, but took myself out to a solo lunch to introvert a bit before a fun group food tour all afternoon/evening. Plus, good food allergy self care to never embark on adventure without a solid meal first, in case of slim pickings ahead.
